Kwini Reed, a Southern California native and entrepreneur, co-owns Poppy & Seed, Poppy + Rose, and Root of All Foods. With a degree in marketing from California State University, Fullerton, she has over a decade of experience in business, finance, and human resource management. Her restaurants have received accolades, including “Best New Restaurant” and “Best All-Day Breakfast Restaurants in L.A.” Reed’s commitment to giving back is evident through meal donations to organizations, supporting first responders, social justice causes, and youth development programs. She actively participates in initiatives like the James Beard Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership program and Re:Her, empowering women in the food industry. Additionally, she works with the UNI Coalition, a community teaching kitchen focused on providing opportunities to underserved youth. Reed’s dedication to her communities extends through financial assistance and meal donations to hospitals, children’s organizations, and social justice causes, significantly impacting others’ lives.
